My work is not meant to represent any grand theories, manifestos, philosophies or ideologies.
I make things that reflect my subjective perceptions of our contemporary world with the hope that they will spark a meaningful dialogue with the viewer.
All of the work relates very directly to my daily encounters with, and use of the stuff of that perceived reality, advertisements, car tires, cigarette butts and all.
For me the real meaning lies in the discovery of an idea as a direct result of these encounters and its transformation into a physical interpretation that has been filtered through my eyes, mind and hands. |
